MT SMS snapshot ?

This is a summary of bulksms activity for your account within a given time frame. The default display is always for the current month and further querying can be done by selecting a time range and clicking the "Get Snapshot" button. This displays total messages sent, total expense and a geographical illustration of the regions where MT traffic occurred within the given time frame. A further breakdown analysis for the traffic in terms of networks can be retrieved by simply mousing over the highlighted regions on the map.

MO SMS snapshot ?

This is a summary of longcode and shortcode activity for your account within a given time frame. Querying can be done by selecting a time range after choosing MO SMS and clicking the "Get Snapshot" button. This displays total messages received, based on shortcodes, longcodes with their keywords along with a geographical illustration of the regions where traffic MO traffic occurred within the given time frame. Free Shortcode ?

This is a default keyword combination setup for each account for free with the keywords beginning with the letter "SD" concatenated with the "account ID" eg "SD 1234" on shortcode 35811. Free Longcode ?

Default sender id?

This is a default sender name set up for your account , it is applied to outgoing messages when a sender id is omitted at text compose time, It could be Numeric or Alphanumeric . Back to the top

Compose SMS ?

This takes place either in paid or free SMS mode and GSM contacts are added to a bulksms batch sequence using method1, method2 or directly from the address book. Method1 works via file upload directly from your local computer in either TXT or CSV format by selecting the right delimiter from the radio button list these are comma, semi colon, enter key or parameters (for template messaging) . Method2 works by typing GSM contacts directly into the textarea , delimited by commas while the address book function is utilized by simply clicking the hyperlink and choosing a group which is immediately added to the method2 text area. If GSM contacts begin with their country codes the check box provided should be selected to show they are in international format. Message Types are Flash or Not flash, WAP or plain text (supports unicode and all special characters like texts in Arabic ) . For plain text , each page comprises 160 characters and subsequent pages 140 ; long messages comprising multiple pages are concatenated and delivered as a single payload to recipient's mobile device. The Sender ID has a maximum character width of 11. Messages are sent after a confirmation page is viewed and everything double checked to be in order. The intermittent stage provides the user with several features like graphical network analysis with an SMS bill break down, network tagging for individual GSM contact , an ability to dynamically include or exclude single contacts or whole networks within the active messaging batch, a display of good and bad contacts along with the option of saving as the active messaging batch as a draft, returning back to message compose mode to make corrections without losing any work or scheduling the message batch sequence to deliver at a future date and time. Bad numbers are automatically excluded from the batch and clicking send will deliver the entire payload to the respective networks and update the account email on file with a broadcast analysis. Select compose SMS from menu.


Select Paid SMS option or Free.


Type sender name for message.


Select message type : Text or WAP.


Select Country code for message to be sent.


Upload GSM numbers using Method 1.


Or insert GSM numbers seperated by commas using Method 2 and click continue to move to step 2.


Double check and Send Message or Make corrections, Save as draft, Schedule.


Message Sent, edit and resend or dismiss.


View sent messages, download most recently sent message and its delivery reports.

Two way messaging?

This helps users to get feedbacks from mobile subscribers based on bulk a messaging broadcast or advertisement campaign. It is used for building an opt-in list, a subscriber base, a mobile community, gathering votes or for receiving payments from mobile sources. All messages received can be viewed as a stream under "MO Traffic" the display contains the keywords, shortcode, subscriber's GSM network, GSM number, his or her subscription status, date received and message sent. A download of the entire MO activity for the account can be triggered by keying in a keyword and indicating the range as time from and to and a download will be initiated in EXCEL format. Shortcode?

Short codes are basically billed at a premium rate and messages sent to a shortcode number cost a lot more than the normal texting cost. Revenue earned through a shortcode campaign is processed and paid out; starting 90 days after a campaign has commenced and the amounts realized are usually a function of deductions made by the respective networks before the final payout for which about 70% of the said amount is paid to the VAS (value added service) provider. We have the free shortcode, the semi free shortcode, the shared shortcode and the dedicated shortcode. The shared shortcode is delimited by keywords and each shortcode is used by several campaigns and clients while the dedicated is used by a single campaign or client and may have keywords which would all be setup by that same client or campaign. A shortcode campaign can be setup and monitored under the shortcode section. Configuration requires the supply of bits of information which would be activated after the setup costs have been invoiced and settled and a service specification form signed by both parties. Configuration info are: The shortcode, keyword, response message and remote URL. Monitoring the campaign is done within the shortcode section and this is displayed as a summary grouped by keywords as they where configured on the respective long or shortcode numbers. A display of gross amount realized, network statistics, with total and unique numbers can be seen within this section. Along with features that a campaign manager can use, like Edit Configuration, View messages in stream mode, download entire messages received filtered by keyword and send message in SMS compose mode to all contacts that have opted in. Longcodes?

Long codes are basically billed at the standard texting rate and no revenue is earned by using a longcode to the VAS (value added service) provider. Instead the campaign has the advantage of being more affordable to end users as their participation in terms of opting in or out would not cost anything more than a normal sms and this is more suitable for gathering responses, votes, feedbacks, subscription etc from a large number of mobile subscribers. We have the shared longcode and the dedicated longcode. The shared longcode is delimited by keywords and each longcode is used by several campaigns and clients while the dedicated is used by a single campaign or client and may have keywords which would all be setup by that same client or campaign. A longcode campaign can be setup and monitored under the longcode section. Notifications ?

These are private messages sent to the user's account from sys admin after account recharge, record of bank payment or any other system and platform related activity might have been completed. It could also be used in communicating scheduled maintenance or system upgrades. Back to the top

Share SMS ?

Users can share bulk SMS units between accounts using this feature, by simply keying in the recipient account's email address and the number of bulk SMS units you intend to share with them, It processes 5000 Bulk SMS units per transaction. A history of Bulk SMS share activity can be seen and it bears amounts shared, the beneficiary's email address, with a time stamp. Back to the top

Drafts ?

Messages saved as draft can be used and reused when ever needed. The sender name, message body, batch sequence with the contacts can be seen for each message saved as draft along with the date when draft was created. Drafts status can be seen as dispatched or never dispatched and draft messages can be deleted when no longer needed. Back to the top

Message scheduler ?

Messages are scheduled at message sending time within the intermittent stage, during which crosschecking is be done and corrections made, before actual message sending is executed. The scheduler interface is simple and receives inputs in form of the Hour, minute and date when delivery should take place. Scheduled messages are displayed within the message scheduler to include their sender name, message body, total cost in SMS units, batch sequence and the network breakdown. The status of messages within the scheduler indicate if the payload has been dispatched or not, the day when the message was scheduled with the date and time when it will be due. Scheduled messages can be deleted, stopped, restarted or rescheduled. Back to the top

Address Book?

The address book has a cloud formation with the contact groups floating freely from one end of the page to the other. GSM numbers are included by adding groups and then adding contacts to those groups. From this interface message can be sent to whole group or to single contact within the group once they are in display, within this interface. Also update and delete actions can be carried out to edit and remove single contact.

Invite Friends?

Gmail and Yahoo APIs have been implemented to assist you in sending invitations to contacts within your email account. There is no need to manually type out the email addresses of friends and associates. Simply click on the invite button and authenticate with Gmail or Yahoo credentials, then authorize Phanerus SMS to access your contacts by clicking agree. You will then be redirected to the invitation page which has a check box list of all the email addresses within your yahoo or Gmail account. You can then begin excluding contacts and scroll down to compose an invitation message before inviting. The selected addresses will be notified by email and the invitation message which you composed sent delivered by Phanerus on your behalf.

Add Group?

Groups are created by simply typing a name and clicking add group

Add Contacts?

Contacts are added by clicking add contacts, selecting a group from the dropdown list of groups you have created then selecting from radio buttons whether contact list comprises contacts only or if names and addresses are arranged in a CSV or TXT file format. Clicking upload will add the contacts to the selected group incrementally and contacts which already exist in group will be excluded.

Update Contact?

After selecting contact group, each contact can be updated by editing fields like GSM number, First Name, Last Name, Email Address, State and Country and clicking update next to it, in address book mode.

Send Msg to Contact?

After selecting contact group, message can be sent to each contact clicking Send Msg next to it, in address book mode. Back to the top

Send Msg to Group?

After selecting contact group, message can be sent to whole group by clicking Send Msg to group under control panel, in address book mode. Back to the top

Delete Contact?

After selecting contact group, each contact can be deleted by clicking del next to it, in address book mode Back to the top

Delete Group?

After selecting contact group, the whole group can be deleted by clicking Delete group under control panel, in address book mode. Back to the top

Delivery Reporting?

After sent messages are delivered to the SMSc a message status is retrieved for each GSM contact indicating whether it was delivered or not delivered . This is visible as a continuous scroll display stream showing sender names, GSM number, network, rate, status and message the whole info can be downloaded in excel format based on a time frame search criteria. Delivered Messages?

This is a message which has been successfully delivered to the mobile network and received by the subscriber. Back to the top

Pending Messages?

A message which has already been delivered to the SMSc but for which the status is yet to be confirmed as delivered or not delivered. Back to the top

Not Delivered Messages?

This is a message which has been successfully delivered to the mobile network and but was not received by the subscriber. Back to the top

Download report?

This is a spread sheet report of MT messaging activity over a stipulated time frame for a specific sender name. Back to the top

Buy Credits?

This is the done in three ways, online ( Nairapay, Payfast, Paypal ), EFT (Electronic funds transfer using online banking ), direct bank deposit. Aside from purchasing credits, these payment media are also utilized when paying setup fees with monthly amounts for services like and shortcodes , longcodes etc. Back to the top

Account Price?

This is a fixed buying rate for bulksms for your account and is proposed in the Account Price section within Payments and prices under the Buy Credits tab. A proposal is made in a currency of choice ( for Naira you can choose any price between N0.7 and N2 as buying price ) along with reasons for selected buying price eg monthly traffic etc The proposal is reviewed and either approved or disapproved based on decisions by your account manager. The default buying rates still control in a case when this feature is not activated by visiting the account price page. However once the page is visited the cost of the most recent payment transactions for your account will become your fixed buying rate. To activate this feature, Login , click on payments and prices, under the buy Credits tab select, Account Price. On the page Select your Currency of choice, type price in figures only eg 0.7, 1, 1.5, 2.0. Then Give reasons for the proposed price, then click on Request Price. At your next account recharge the amount proposed will be your fixed buying price. Back to the top

Invoices?

Invoicing helps you keep track and document payments you make for our array of 14 different mobile services for accounting purposes. Back to the top

Create Invoice?

An invoice must be generated before any payment can be made, whether by bank deposit or online. Invoices are generated in a currency of choice and a maximum of four different services added to the invoice from an array of 14 different mobile related services which we offer. The quantity for each one is indicated, and contact to whom the invoice will be addressed indicated. The total cost is automatically collated and on generation the invoice can be viewed under pending payments. Back to the top

Pending Payments?

: Invoiced amounts which are yet to be settled can be viewed under pending payments. They can be printed, downloaded and paid for by clicking the checkout button and deleted if a need to make corrections to invoiced amounts should becomes necessary. Back to the top

Invoice History?

Invoiced amounts which have been settled by paying online, EFT or bank deposit can be viewed under invoice payments; they can be printed or downloaded. Back to the top

Recharge?

This takes place after a bank payment is recorded using the reference from a payment made along with its invoice number and also when a voucher pin is used to add units to an account. Back to the top

Bank Payment / Transfer?

This is used to notify the accounts department of payments made by cash, cheque or EFT. The date when the payment is made is indicated, the required service selected along with the bank where the payment was made, the branch address, payment reference, invoice number and amount. Once the notification is received the transaction is traced and a follow up by a support personnel initiated until the required service rendered. Back to the top

VPIN?

A virtual pin can be purchased online or through one of our distributors. They can be given out as gifts or used to perform account recharge actions. They come in denominations of 100, 1000 and 10000 units. Back to the top

Routes?

Global networks we reach along with their route charges can be viewed under routes within Payments and prices. They are categorized by country codes and names, clicking on the respective country name will display all the mobile networks we reach within that Country along with the respective route charges for each of them.
